Welcome to ROUTEZ!

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your rights and obligations regarding the use of ROUTEZ’s Software (“Software”) and services (collectively, the “Service”) on the Internet or in mobile applications. These Terms constitute a binding agreement between ROUTEZ Pty Ltd (including its affiliates and subsidiaries, “ROUTEZ”, “we”, or “us”), the proprietor of all rights in and to the Service, and you. It is therefore recommended that you read these Terms carefully.

By using the ROUTEZ Service, you signify your assent to these Terms;

  • ROUTEZ’s Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”); and
  • ROUTEZ’s Copyright Policy (“Copyright Policy”)

all of which form an integral part of these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms or any part of them, you must refrain from using the Service.

The following key points are highlighted for your convenience only. They do not override or replace the full Terms.

Road and compliance information prevails.
The information provided by the Service is intended as guidance only. It does not replace legally binding information such as traffic laws, road signage, bridge and tunnel clearances, load limits, compliance requirements, or instructions from road authorities or police.

Cautious and lawful driving.
Always drive in accordance with the law, your vehicle’s compliance limits, and prevailing road conditions. It is strictly forbidden to input updates (such as incident reports, low powerlines, potholes, or unsafe routes) while driving. Updates may only be submitted when your vehicle is stopped in a lawful and safe location, or by a passenger without distracting the driver.

Truck-specific compliance.
The Service includes tools for pre-trip checks (e.g., load, weight, height, service status). These are for guidance only and do not replace legal compliance obligations. Drivers and operators remain solely responsible for ensuring their vehicles meet all legal, safety, and operational requirements.

Community-based information.
The Service relies on data and reports from other users. Information may be inaccurate, outdated, incomplete, or unsuitable for your specific vehicle. ROUTEZ does not warrant the reliability, accuracy, or completeness of such information.

Location-based Service.
Some features rely on GPS and location tracking. These cannot be provided without collecting location and route information, as further detailed in the Privacy Policy.

Advertisements.
The Service may display third-party advertisements. ROUTEZ does not endorse any products or services advertised. Drivers must not attempt to view or interact with ads while driving.

Internet connection.
Use of the Service requires an active Internet connection. All associated data charges are your responsibility.

Your age.
The Service is intended for professional truck drivers and operators. Users must be at least 18 years old and legally permitted to drive and operate a heavy vehicle.

WHAT IS THE SERVICE

The Service provides truck-specific navigation, route planning, and compliance tools. It allows drivers and users to:

  • Navigate to destinations using maps adapted for heavy vehicles.
  • Receive information on road conditions, restrictions, and hazards specific to trucks (e.g., low bridges, weight limits, unsafe routes).
  • Conduct pre-trip compliance checks, including vehicle height, weight, load, registration, and service status.
  • Report and share incidents relevant to trucks (e.g., downed powerlines, unsafe roads, major potholes, blocked routes).
  • Participate in a community of drivers to share and improve heavy-vehicle routing data.

The Service is provided mainly through the ROUTEZ Software.

THE LICENSE

ROUTEZ grants you a free, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal or professional driving purposes, subject to these Terms.

You may not:

  • Resell or commercially exploit the Service without ROUTEZ’s written consent.
  • Redistribute or replicate its data except for personal/professional use of your own vehicles.
  • Use automated tools (e.g., bots, scrapers) to extract data.

USE RESTRICTIONS

When using the Service you must not:

  • Modify, reverse-engineer, or replicate any part of the Software.
  • Collect personal data from other users without consent.
  • Post false, misleading, or harmful reports.
  • Use the Service while operating a vehicle in a way that endangers safety.
  • Introduce malware, spam, or disruptive content.
  • Violate any road safety, transport, or heavy vehicle compliance laws.

ROUTEZ may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these restrictions.

USER CONTENT

You are responsible for any content you submit (e.g., reports on road conditions, incidents, compliance data). By submitting content, you grant ROUTEZ a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, display, and distribute that content within the Service.

Content must not:

  • Contain false or misleading information.
  • Violate intellectual property rights.
  • Be defamatory, harassing, unlawful, or discriminatory.
  • Endanger safety or encourage unlawful behavior.

ROUTEZ may remove content at its discretion.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

ROUTEZ provides the Service on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind.

  • ROUTEZ does not guarantee accuracy of maps, routes, compliance data, or community reports.
  • You remain solely responsible for safe and lawful vehicle operation.
  • In case of conflict between on-road instructions/signage and the Service, you must follow the road instructions.
  • ROUTEZ is not liable for direct or indirect damages, losses, or costs arising from use of the Service.

MODIFICATIONS AND TERMINATION

ROUTEZ may update, modify, or discontinue the Service at any time, with or without notice. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any updated Terms.

GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales, Australia.

COMPLETE TERMS

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Copyright Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and ROUTEZ regarding the Service.
