Routez Pty Ltd (“Routez”, “we”, “our”, or “the Company”) respects your privacy. Routez offers truck-specific mapping, GPS navigation, fleet management, compliance and safety checks, and community-based services to users of www.routez.app (the “Website”) and/or the Routez mobile and in-dash applications (the “Application”) (collectively, the “Services”).

When you use our Services, you trust us with your information. We understand this is a big responsibility and work hard to protect your information and give you control over it.

User Accounts & Accessing the Services

When you use Routez, we may create a Routez Account for you (registered or non-registered).

  • Registered Accounts – If you sign up, we link your profile information, routes, compliance checks, truck data, and preferences with your account.
  • Non-Registered Accounts – If you don’t sign up, Routez will still generate a unique identifier linked to your usage, routes, and truck activity.

Your login details are your responsibility. Keep them confidential and update passwords regularly.

Information We Collect

1. Information You Provide

  • Account details (name, email, phone number, fleet/company information).
  • Truck information (height, weight, load capacity, rego status, compliance records, service status).
  • Routes, delivery destinations, and compliance checks you enter.
  • Communication (incident reports, chat messages, support requests).
  • Favorites (such as “Depot”, “Home Base”, or frequently visited sites).

2. Information We Collect Automatically

  • GPS and route history, with timestamps.
  • Compliance data (whether a truck route complies with weight, height, or safety restrictions).
  • Incident reports you submit (e.g., low powerlines, unsafe roads, potholes).
  • Crash logs, app performance, and system activity.
  • Metadata (device type, operating system, battery usage, connection type, IP address).

3. Information From Partners

We may receive aggregated or anonymized fleet data from partner services (e.g., telematics providers, ERP/CRM integrations, or regulatory APIs).

Why We Collect Data

We use collected information to:

  • Provide Services – Deliver safe truck navigation, optimized routing, compliance alerts, incident reporting, and fleet management features.
  • Maintain & Improve – Monitor outages, troubleshoot bugs, and enhance route accuracy.
  • Personalize – Suggest routes, service reminders, or compliance checks based on truck profiles.
  • Safety & Compliance – Help detect illegal activity, misuse, or non-compliance with transport regulations.

Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We only share information when necessary:

  • With other Routez users (e.g., community incident reports).
  • With fleet operators (if you’re part of a managed fleet).

  • During corporate restructuring (e.g., mergers, acquisitions), provided protections remain in place.

Visibility

  • Your username and certain community contributions (e.g., incident reports) may be visible to other Routez users.
  • Fleet managers may see compliance-related information about vehicles and drivers linked to their account.
  • You can adjust visibility settings in the app (e.g., “Invisible Mode”).

Integration With Third-Party Services

You may choose to link Routez with:

  • Fleet management software (ERP/CRM).
  • Telematics devices.
  • Payment systems.

We will only share information with third-party services if you grant explicit permission.

Controlling & Deleting Your Information

  • You can review or edit account information in-app.
  • You can export or delete your account data through the app or by contacting privacy@routez.app.
  • Deleted data will be removed from active systems but may remain in secure backups for a limited retention period.

Data Retention

  • Account & truck data: Retained until you delete your account or request removal.
  • Compliance records: Retained as long as required by law (e.g., for audit or transport safety obligations).
  • Incident reports: Retained in aggregated form to improve services.

Cookies & Tracking

Routez uses cookies and similar technologies for authentication, analytics, and app functionality. You can block or manage cookies in your device/browser settings, though this may limit functionality.

Advertising

Unlike general navigation apps, Routez does not run third-party consumer ad campaigns. You may see only relevant industry/service partner content (e.g., rest stop promotions, repair services, or fueling stations) if opted in.

Information Security

We use industry-standard security measures, including encryption, restricted access, and monitoring, to protect your information. However, no system is fully immune from risks.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under:
